Q: How important is it to identify a stain prior to sending it out to be laundered?
A: If you make a note of what caused the stain on your order form, our laundress can determine the best technique for its removal. If you don’t know the cause, don’t fear, our laundress can use her expertise to remove it.
Q: What’s the difference between dry cleaning and laundering?
A: Whenever possible and if the fabric and construction allow, laundering an item is always preferable to dry cleaning. Because the laundering process removes dirt and stains using water and biodegradable detergent and is not as potentially damaging to the fabric, it may help to prolong the life of the item. Dry cleaning uses chemical solvents, which may be harmful to the article. Of course, the fabric and construction of the article in question dictate the right cleaning process.
Q: How long will it take to get my laundered items back?
A: It typically takes about 4 weeks. Remember, we launder, finish and care for your items by hand. However, we try to launder bedding on a weekly basis and return it to you in 5-6 working days. (Shipping time is not included.) Also, during certain times of the year we run between 4-5 weeks for all items. However, we will try to honor special time requests whenever possible.
Q: How do I get my items to you?
A: Simply box your items and ship them via UPS, FedEx or USPS. Unless otherwise directed we will use UPS to return your laundry to you. We are happy to charge your UPS or FedEx number on the return shipment. Please provide the account number on your order form. Insurance is recommended. If shipped using our UPS number, insurance is automatically charged on the return shipment. We encourage you to establish the value of your order for us.
Q: Will you give me an estimate, before you begin work on my order?
A: Yes. Upon receipt of your order, we send you a card confirming your order, along with the expected delivery information and, upon request, an estimated cost. Unless directed otherwise, we begin the process of caring for your linens promptly!
Q: Do you have a policy on rush service?
A: Rush service is available. A 10% to 20% surcharge may apply.
Q: What if my item is not listed on your order form?
A: You may either email us at email@example.com or please call us at 800-637-6334. We can discuss if it’s possible for us to care for and launder your item and the pricing for that service.
Q: What do I do with the Open Account form and/or the order form?
A: After you’ve filled out these forms, please include both forms along with your first shipment. On repeat orders, if you do not wish to change your payment method, only the order form is necessary.
